GLUE Oblique EP Release Party | Fiese Remise | Berlin

We’re happy to present a new party series by Sonic Ground, GLUE: covering a wide range of genres with DJ and hybrid sets from Sonic Ground residents and friends of the collective.

For the first GLUE party of the year, we’re hosting the EP release party of Oblique, our resident DJ. In collaboration with the Mauritius based sound and visual label electrocaine, we’re taking over Melancholie in Kreuzberg for a night of tribal electronica.

Oblique – Sun EP:

Following up on last year’s Argandiwal (ارغنده وال) release, Oblique returns to electrocaïne with the four-track Sun EP.

While the artist’s first release touched upon the exploration of a lost heritage through intense and multi-layered soundscapes, his second release comes with a more technically focused probe into how some of the previously discovered and now signature elements could be further embodied in the dance format.

With the four tracks crossing established genres, Oblique takes elements of house, techno and breakbeat to create his own vision awashed in the bright rays of luminosity that shone through his first record.
